You have seen him on film and television for over 2 decades! Gate Communications is honored to welcome to the stage Anthony Natale, one of the most well known Deaf actors in the U.S. as the 2008 Celebration of Sign M.C. Anthony is our first MALE emcee, and we couldn't be more excited! He has been seen in some of the most impacting theatrical cameos in history. Everyone remembers his famous line "You complete me" in the elevator in the cult classic Jerry Magure. His role as the eldest son "Cole" in Richard Dreyfuss' incredible tear jerking classic Mr. Holland's Opus remains embeded in people's hearts. His movie appearances continue with his roles in City of Angels, Date Movie, Sorority Boys, Two Shades of Blue, and Children of a Lesser God. Most recently Anthony was featured in the soon to be released film Universal Signs. His staring role finds him in the first foreign language film to feature American Sign Language as the "spoken" language and English as the subtitled language. Anthony made sure to not limit his work to film appearing in tv series' such as "Any Day Now", "Once and Again", "Seventh Heaven", "Ellen", "Beauty and the Beast", "Pacific Blue", and "Rude Awakening." Anthony also joined the ranks of actors in top TV specials such as "Bridge to Silence" and "His Bodyguard." Sign Language students in the U.S. and Canada know Anthony for his role in the popular series Signing Naturally. In addition, he starred in the award winning educational video "How to Talk to a Person Who Can't Hear"
Off screen Anthony is the son of Italian immigrants. Born in Toronto, he immigrated to the United States as a teenager residing in New York before he moved to sunny California and attended California State University Northridge (CSUN). Anthony now not only acts, but teaches Sign Language.
Anthony not only serves as the 2008 M.C. but he will also serve as one of the performance workshop instructors.
