Want to take Sign Language Classes but don't live in Nashville, Tennessee? In 2008 we don't let a little distance keep us away. Web courses are available! These courses are structured the same as standard courses, but are held via webcam!
2008 CLASS LIST
Technical Requirements:
- Computer
- High Speed Internet
- Webcam
- An Instant Messenger Program
In addition to the required books and DVD's Gate accesses public videos and media and uses those to encourage learning.
These classes can be a support to your current ASL classes, serving as tutorials or be a new addition to your schooling serving as your primary ASL education. As with all Gate ASL/Interpreting classes they are structured to a collegiate level.
Classes can be held for up to 4 hours a week, and each class period costs only $25. These classes provide a quality education meeting the needs of the individual consumer.

- Classes held to teach a single song / script
- Refresher courses for people already skilled in Sign Language or Interpreting
- RID Prep classes
Beginners and advanced students are welcome. ASL classes can be modified to teach children ages 10 - 15. Students ages 16 - 18 are taught at the collegiate level.
