Gate Communications is a small organization with a big vision. Currently the company serves the American and Mexican Deaf Communities, but our vision extends far beyond the boundaries of the Northern and Central America.

OUR MISSION

Gate seeks to meet the physical, spiritual, educational and social needs of the Deaf Community.

OUR VISION

Middle Tennessee :

Gate's work in Middle Tennessee is well established. For the last 8 years Gate has been providing high quality Performance and Religious Interpreting Services to the greater Nashville Community, along with the provision of Community Events, Sign Language/Interpreting Classes, and Personal Outreaches. Gate will continue to seek opportunities to increase our local impact. Our heart is to see the Deaf Community of Tennessee well served and impacted by the staff and services of Gate Communications.

United States:

Gate is far from a "local" organization. Our work has taken us across this nation to provide classes, interpreting services, and Deaf events in 8 different states. In addition our events have brought people from 13 different states to the Middle Tennessee area! To date we have had distance students from 4 states, and this number grows annually as well. Each year our influence reaches further beyond the borders of Tennessee. Gate's vision is to impact the entire United States with our four fold services bringing Deaf accessibility, Sign Language Education, and personal outreach to a new level across the nation.

International:

Gate has already had a chance to touch the world through our website and events. Gate's website has been viewed by individuals throughout Europe and South America. Gate seeks to take our educational services, event and outreach services to an international level in time. Gate has produced lessons in foreign Sign Languages, has provided some foreign Sign Language and translation services, and assisted with Deaf Foreign Exchange student's that come to the U.S. CelSign even had it's first European who flew into Nashville to attend CelSign all the way from Italy. This year Gate is heading to Mexico to work with Deaf children in Northern Mexico, and as we look to the future we envision Gate offices on every continent on the globe.
