"When there has been so much love and happiness with someone it is natural to be reluctant to close such a wonderful chapter in our lives. Moving forward is rarely accomplished without considerable grief and sadness... and while our sorrow maybe profound, the clouds will clear and the sun will shine on us again." - A quote from the movie THE PRINCE AND ME

Banning Capps
1976 - 2000
Remembered by: Samantha Terzis
In 1992/3 a young man at a Southern CA high school caught my eye in an art class one day. He was incredibly handsome, a world class surfer, a special ed student, and an incredible man of God. He made me laugh every day, & his smile lit up every room he walked into. Every member of the department was enamored by his sweet spirit and his incomparable accomplishments. Banning made a difference in every life he touched with his compassion, his empathy, his passion, his faith, and his humility. He never knew how the world adored him, and never understood why every person who encountered him was amazed. Banning was one of a kind, and in a freak accident Banning lost his life after an 8 story fall from a hotel balcony some years after graduation. Our world grew darker the day that Banning died. I will always remember our precious Homecoming King, our student, our friend, our inspiration, and the owner of our hearts, sweet Banning Capps. He went "home" early, but he deserves no less than the perfection of heaven. |

Charlotte Lee Evans
1940 - 2007
Remembered by: Patti Cowell & Linda Kolanko
"There was just something about Charlotte." The Evans family heard that over and over again. Whether it was her love for animals, her incredible organization skills, her passion for perfection, or just that spark when she entered a room, there was something about Charlotte. For me personally, those concepts can't begin to define the importance of that lady, because that lady to me was "mom." She was a fighter throughout her life, and she endured incredible odds to beat the cancer that was trying to take over her body. She fought to her last breath and that fight was an example to everyone who knew her. She died at 67, far too early, and there isn't a day that goes by where she isn't remembered, cherished and missed. I miss her more than words can say, but I praise God for the years we had and th ememories we made.
