SAMANTHA TERZIS, CI/CT/ASLTA (Hearing)
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...
there lived an Executive Director and Star Trek fan...
Samantha began interpreting 18 years ago in Santa Barbara, CA. After completing her college education in Art, Theatre, and Interpreting she began to divide her time between theatre and the Deaf world. She has since interpreted, and taught across the nation, and keeps her hands on lighting boards and canvasses as much as possible. Her freelance experience has found her on stage and along side individuals ranging from Presidents to Country/Christian/Pop stars, to the top Christian speakers from around the globe. She enjoys her work with foreign Deaf Communities, and has gained experience and interpreted in an array of foreign Sign Languages such as French (LSF) & Mexican (LSM). She is a regular volunteer with AFS (American Field Service) which provides homes and services to foreign exchange students. Samantha serves as the Orienation Coordinator for the Miss Tennky District. She has traveled to Mexico 8 times to work with orphans and Deaf outreaches there, and hopes to see her travels take her to Deaf Communities in Eastern and Western Europe. Samantha serves Gate as the Executive Director, Board President, and Instructor.
