HELP A DEAF CHILD THIS CHRISTMAS!
We have such wonderful opportunities to celebrate Christmas, but without our help, these Deaf children won't get a Christmas. Your support can help these kids have an incredible holiday with brand new shoes and socks they pick out themselves! Your support can sponsor the school Christmas party, a teacher's gift, and even help keep the school financially afloat during the holidays. You can make it all happen! It all starts right here with your tax-deductible donation.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is my donation tax-deductible?
YES!
Can groups sponsor, like church groups, families, schools, RID organizations, etc?
YES! If you want to raise funds within your group, you can sponsor multiple children, or you can send all funds to sponsorship of the party or the school. If you would like to speak to our office for more details, call us at 615-435-8929 V or 615-224-8058 VP.
Can individuals outside of the United States of America donate?
YES! PayPal will automatically convert your funds to American dollars.
Will the money go directly to the school?
YES!
What type of school is this?
A private residential school for the Deaf. About 1/4 of the students stay on campus, the rest commute via transportation the school provides at no charge.
Where is the school?
Con Mis Manos ("With My Hands") is located just South of Brownsville, TX in a city called Matamoros. You will often see Matamoros on the news because of the intense cartel activity in that city.
Are these students impoverished?
YES! Many don't have running water in their homes and use outhouses as bathrooms. Some live in the dump or in shanties, but all of the students living off campus live in conditions we would not feel comfortable in as Americans. The campus itself does have more favorable conditions.
What is life like for the Deaf in Northeastern Mexico?
The Deaf have no legal status in Northeastern Mexico. They have no rights, no access to interpreters, no access to public education, no access to communication in medical environments.
How many kids need sponsors?
Approximately 40.
Can I sponsor multiple children?
YES! Please fill out a separate form for each or call our office directly at 615-435-8929 V or 615-224-8058 VP.
Can I request information about the child I sponsored?
YES! Just indicate that when you call or when you fill out the online form.
If all children get sponsored where will the extra funds go?
Extra funds will go to support the MANY financial needs the school has.
The Hope Tree shopping day is December 15th.
To have the funds in hand, all sponsorships need to be received no later than December 14th. Thank you!
